ASA report: Top scoring medical marijuana programs by state

The report grades each state’s medical marijuana program and how easily citizens have access to medicinal pot.

Per ASA’s official website:

“Too often, patients are denied life-saving treatments solely because they are using medical cannabis,” said California Assemblymember Marc Levine, champion of the Medical Cannabis Organ Transplant Act (AB 258), “It is imperative for state lawmakers to take advantage of vital resources like ASA’s report to improve their state programs.”

The report evaluates each state’s program by analyzing numerous factors. In determining these grades, ASA looked at each state’s patient rights, access to medical pot, ease of navigation, functionality along with consumer safety and provider requirements.
